City life has become very difficult, jobless rates on the rise and not enough jobs to go around for the millions who lost them since the economic crunch began. There are lot of simple yet very effective green tips for small city spaces such as apartments and similar spaces that can be easily upgraded to green status. Changing the bathroom fixtures with water saving fixtures that use less water or selecting water recycling sinks that sends wash water to the water tank of the commode, for use in flushing down solid waste.
Using solar heaters in a small space is good as well as solar panels on a window or roof can provide charging stations for our gadgets and gizmos. Solar backpacks and other green portable products that harvests the sun’s free energy helps remove some of the wasted vampire energy lost during standby of these small yet very persistent gadgets that exists in many shapes and sizes all over the world. Chargers, transformers and many more, left plugged in eating power even when not in use. That is the vampire surge, a by-product of the stand-by mode present in all electronic products we all own. Want to save, simply chose to unplug them from the wall socket so they don’t eat electricity. Greening such as small space is very easy if you know what products work best for you and your home. And chose smaller wattage light bulbs, CFL’s have a lot more light compared to old incandescent bulbs.
